✓ 0.108g Red dye – Bekro 401

✓ 0.108g Yellow dye – Bekro 453
✓ 0.108g Green dye – Bekro 249
✓ 0.054g Blue dye – Bekro 244
✓ 0.054g Purple dye – Bekro 399
✓ 10 x Label for clamshell

STEP 1: Red
1. Add 54g of RCX Melt Blend wax to a double boiler.
2. Stir the wax until it has all melted.
3. Add 0.108g Bekro 401 - Red. Stir the mixture at a temperature above 70°C until all dye granules have dissolved. This may take a few minutes – keep stirring! If the temperature is less than 70°C, the dye will take much longer to dissolve.
4. Add 6g of Black Plum & Rhubarb fragrance oil. Stir the mixture thoroughly for around 1 minute or until all fragrance oil has dissolved.
5. The addition of the fragrance oil will reduce the temperature of the mixture. You will find that the ideal pouring temperature will be between 45-55°C, but you may need to play around with temperatures to stop frosting. Carefully pour the mixture into the clamshell. If the mixture is too hot, it will melt and distort the clamshell. Fill the heart mould labelled with the designated colour, making sure to underfill this section slightly to allow the white wax to adhere all the hearts together in the final stage.
STEP 2: Dark Green
Repeat step 1 for Bekro 249 – Dark Green.
STEP 3: Neon Yellow
Repeat step 1 for Bekro 453 – Neon Yellow.
STEP 4: Orange
1. Add 54g of RCX Melt Blend wax to a double boiler.
2. Stir the wax until it has all melted.
3. Add 0.0.054g Bekro Dye 321 - Orange.
STEP 5: Blue
Repeat step 4 for Bekro 244 - Blue.
STEP 6: Violet
Repeat step 4 for Bekro 399 - Violet.
STEP 7: White
1. Add 414g of RCX Melt Blend wax to a double boiler.
2. Stir the wax until it has all melted.
3. Stir the mixture at a temperature above 70°C. If the temperature is less than 70°C, the dye will take much longer to dissolve.
4. Add 46g of Black Plum & Rhubarb fragrance oil. Stir the mixture thoroughly for around 1 minute or until all fragrance oil has dissolved.
5. The addition of the fragrance oil will reduce the temperature of the mixture. You will find that the ideal pouring temperature will be between 45-55°C. You may need to play around with temperatures to stop frosting. Carefully pour it into the clamshell. If the mixture is too hot, it will melt and distort the clamshell. Make sure the last heart you poured has dried enough so as to not be disrupted by the white wax.
6. Allow the mixture to cool in the clamshell.
7. When the mixture is solid throughout, close the lid and snap shut.
8. If you have a label, stick it to the front of the clamshell.
9. Stick the CLP label to the base of the clamshell.
