What do you do at Candle Shack?
I’m the Customer Support Manager at Candle Shack. I plan, organise, and manage a constantly improving service experience for Candle Shack customers. I lead a team, handling day-to-day operations to ensure we can provide the high standard and support our customers love. I also act as the voice of the customer between departments, to make sure customer feedback is heard across the business.
What is your favourite part of your job?
That I get to help people. The relationship that I have with our customers is something I really cherish. I enjoy finding solutions for challenging situations and seeing people succeed. This goes for our customers as well as my team. I also love how we make each other laugh in the team, like when I was talking about massage candles, and someone thought I was talking about moustache candles.
What are you most proud of accomplishing at Candle Shack?
I successfully developed and implemented an advanced communication platform tailored to meet our customer's needs, which helped enhance the efficiency and responsiveness of our support system. Beyond this technical achievement, I am also really proud of my relationship with my team. I was able to create a really strong bond with them, and we always do our very best to support each other, whether it is work-related or personal aspirations.
What's your favourite thing to do outside of work?
I love travelling and experiencing different cultures. I was fortunate enough to be able to volunteer for a month at the Galapagos Islands last year. The more I see of the planet, the more I want to discover. I also enjoy spending time at the beach with my friends and dogs.
