Oils of Patchouli and Cedarwood blend perfectly with crisp eucalyptus before being rounded off with a tonka and vanilla base. Being nature-derived, this fragrance is truly unique. Using new technologies, our Lavender and Patchouli oil contains upcycled akiglawood - a spicy woody scent derived from Patchouli oil. This precious natural captive is harnessed using a groundbreaking biotechnology process creating a material that would previously never found its way to a perfumer's palette.

What does nature-derived mean?

Nature-derived fragrances are complex compounds, derived from natural aromatics extracted from nature including trees, plants, and flowers, that also include a small amount of replicated natural accords harnessed without harming the environment. These natural accords are processed from natural sources by physical or biotechnical procedures to harness the ingredients and consist of materials that can be physically isolated from plants through distillation expression and extraction.

Nature-derived materials can be extracted from plants - one oil can have several different isolates from several plants.

The fragrance is (1) initially characterised by herbal lavandin combined with the refreshing citrus aroma of bergamot, giving the fragrance a resinous, natural smell, evoking feelings of getting lost in sunny fields of Provence. This refreshing feeling is reinforced by (2) earthy heart notes of cedarwood, woody with a hint of balsamic and slightly sweet patchouli balanced by watery lily of the valley, undercutting the earthiness with a hint of floral bliss. A (3) gourmand base adds depth to the fragrance with sweet vanilla and tonka. A hint of nutty spice from the sandalwood aroma adds depth to the earthy, woody notes, finishing the fragrance with a note of creamy richness.



This fragrance oil works beautifully as outdoor candles. It is blended with Citrepel, produced in the UK, which is a naturally derived, highly effective insect repellent. Citrepel is registered under the Biocidal Products Directive (BPR) and certified as a product of natural origin by ECOCERT. Produced from natural essential oils, Citrepel is very high in PMD, a powerful active ingredient shown to be effective against a broad spectrum of insects. Your candles will be both beautiful and effective at keeping insects at bay for an even better experience outdoors!
